  Been thinking a lot back and forth regarding the attributes for the characters and have finally came to a conclusion. If you feel that there are anything to point out regarding this, please post so as all ideas will help the game to be the best web based role playing game out there.




Attributes

Strength
The strength of your character will determine how well it can carry heavy gear and the damage per hit. Also other physical tasks that requires health will be measured with this.
Stamina
The characters ability to sustain prolonged physical effort. This will determine the characters health, how far the characters are able to travel by foot, and also the characters energy. The more energy a character have, the more tasks are the characters able to do on the daily basis.
Agility
The agility will enable the characters to move quickly and easily, and how precise the actions are performed. Agility determine the characters accuracy and critical ratio, evade abilities and their running speed. After a hit is made, and the raw damage from strength are generated, this will reduce or even improve the damage of the hit depending on how good the hit was, the opponents evade will negate against your accuracy.
Psyche
The characters soul, mind, and spirit. Your characters inner strength will be measured by their psyche. Exhausted or damaged players will find it hard to perform actions with reduced psych, the antonym resolution with a higher psyche will help the exhausted or damaged players to perform actions. With enough psyche, the players may psyche themselves to keep going even while exhausted, this will reduce the characters health little by little. As the health reduction also reduced the other stats their speed will be lowered little by little, especially if their carrying a heavy load. When pulling this too far, the players could end up dying either because the lack of health, or an unexpected encounter.

Already this thursday, October 4th, I will start with the character database. The attributes will be added to their database as well as some other game related information. I will as well start calculating some formulas for determining stats like damage, accuracy, evade... etch.

Please speak up if there are something missing, or something that should be changed, the sooner the better.

Yeah? speed are a part of the agility, high agility will increase the speed, defense are measured by multiple elements, like the evade ability(agility and body armor. but please give reasons for having this as an attribute and not just a stat, like endurance, fortitude, etch.

  Been working on the calculations of the attributes, as a character with 200 strength should be countered by a character of 200 stamina, or 200 agility (for evading).
I have been sitting with the calculator for many hours, now I'm working out the psyche, your attributes will be lowered when either energy or health are low, and even more if both are low. and psyche will prevent that.. I'm working with graphs to make a formula, and it will be a bit hard to find the correct formula for psyche as it can't be under or overpowered, though, this formula would be easy to modify later in the game without cause too much trouble.
I'm so exhausted after this week, this day i've been driving for 6-8 hours without much sleep the other nights, I guess I will have to go to sleep now, and wake up early tomorrow to finnish of my formulas.

As soon as the last formulas are calculated, I can already start making the main features, like combat :D
by the end of the weekend, I think the most features are completed, and the game itself are ready to be beta tested.

  I think the realms side buttons are looking cool at the moment. all seems well.
Now you just have to make those buttons true, if you know what i mean. :)

Great, I'm sure you will manage. 3 of the side lists are public facilities made by other players. another one are for peoples in guilds only.
And its just to click the items to see what they do ;) (when they are completed). Will add something more there if that may frighten you, I will add the character portrait and your health and energy, so that shouldn't make it more complicated^^

Your so right ^^, making the actual functions are what takes time. But I will do as fast as I can, but at the same time take my time to make sure its secure and stable.

  yep, you must take time to make sure it is secure and stable otherwise there will be big problems in the future once a lot of people have signed up and the game does not work. that will be bad. so take as long as it needs to make it secure.
